Kim and Scott’s 5 Night Disney Wonder Cruise From Miami (April 2015)
Thanks to our client Kim from Michigan for giving us this report on her and her husband’s anniversary Disney cruise (without the kids!)
Scott and I had a WONDERFUL time! We can not wait to go on another cruise, just the two of us! We were not sure if we would miss our lovely children too much while on the Disney cruise….but the answer is…we love them…but we had a AWESOME time just enjoying the cruise as adults, not parents..haha….
Miami was beautiful and we really had a nice day pre-cruise. We ate at Burgers and Beer in the Brickell area…super yummy! The port of Miami was a little less “Disney” than I had expected…and we waited a very long time (with LOTS) of other families waiting to board the boat. That was a bit different from Port Canaveral. Not sure if it will make or break my cruising plans, but I think Port Canaveral is the better of the two.
In Grand Cayman we had a wonderful time with Aquarius Sea Tours. Captain Mario was outstanding! So worth the money! We can not say enough about our tour, which we booked on our own.
The Wonder was a smaller boat then we had imagined, but we did not have kiddos to worry about so it really did not make a impact on us either way. The kids pool area was very small and seemed very busy. We enjoyed the adult only areas and dined with a very nice couple from NJ that had been on 22 Disney Cruises. We had fun getting to know them better over dinner every night. It was truly a magical Anniversary upon The Disney Wonder. Disney really goes above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time!
We are looking forward to our next cruise! We wish we didn’t have to wait so long in between them, but the wait is SO worth it!!!! Thank you for your help in booking our Anniversary cruise and we look forward to working with you for our 2nd family cruise!
