Arizona Series: A Cool 4th of July Celebration

A 4th of July celebration in the Phoenix area will be a hot one, right? Not necessarily! We attended a public “cool” 4th of July party in Scottsdale this year.

The evening started in air conditioned comfort in a huge indoor space. No 100 degree temperatures in here! Instead a cool 72 degrees.

The ticketed event featured a yummy bbq for VIP ticket holders. The food was plentiful (you could go by for seconds!)

A good band played oldies “America” type songs (like Neil Diamond’s “Coming to America”) while we dined and waited for the main attraction for the night – fireworks! On the dining tables were complementary card games that families could play with their kids.

9 pm – time for fireworks! VIP ticket holders also had an exclusive area for the show.

This was the 8th annual Scottsdale 4th of July celebration. If you are in the Phoenix area next 4th of July and you are looking for a fun family event, we recommend Scottsdale 4th!
