"We cannot tell you how pleased we are with deciding to your service to put this trip together! And, we were so glad you sent the little tidbits of information regarding the parks, rides, etc. We found each one to right on the money and we took all your good advice as far as lines, times of day to get on certain attractions (i.e. Dumbo) and it just made the trip that much more efficient and smooth. You are what I would call a "one stop shop for an amazing Disney World experience."

Have you ever stayed at one of the All Star Resorts? If so, what did you think of this resort and would you stay there again? Do you prefer one of the All Star Resorts (Music, Movies, Sports) over the others?

Answers posted to the list:

"We have stayed at the All Stars frequently, so frequently that we have been upgraded FREE to preferred rooms on several occasions.

Our stays usually consist Of a Saturday night prior to a week at OKW on our DVC points or a weekend Usually Thursday - Saturday nights between stays at OKW and VWL on our DVc points.

The All Stars is what I refer to as the "EconoLodge" of Walt Disney World. The rooms are not large but adequate, they are clean and well equipped. They are great for a night or three but for an entire week I think they would tend to get a bit cramped.

The food courts are outstanding, they are priced very competitively and you can get anything from a burger to a steak which is nice. The kids also like the game room and pools.

Bus service is among the best and most frequent I have seen at any Disney resort. I do have to warn you though that on certain routes and at certain times of the day one bus stops 3 Sports, Music & Movies before continuing to its destination.

As for preference we have none as the 3 resorts all offer the same
facilities.

We have stayed there and will continue to stay there as long as we need those 1 - 3 might breaks from our DVC accommodations to save on points."

"We've stayed at ASMovies Toy Story (which my granddaughter adored) and
ASSports Surf's Up. Both were better than we expected. We loved the food courts and pools. The rooms were fine for the price. We would return to Toy Story, at the little one's request, only because she loved sleeping with Woody and Buzz Year (her words)."

"Living in Florida, we often go to Disney just for an overnight and stay at the All-Star Resort. We prefer the Music because we have a 13 yr. old who likes that resort. The rooms are comfortable as we usually have 4 adults and one baby (crib) in the room. The baby (17 months) enjoys the pools. Recently we arrived without reservations, did get a room but was at the back of the resort (long walk) but when we got to the room, there were people in it. Called front office, on cell phone, and security came to check on these people. Also one of the people from the front desk came and escorted us to a room in a building right next to the main building as compensation for our inconvenience. Nice and just walked out of room to the pool."

"When I went there I was just out of college and went with my parents, 7 years ago. It was the best place I had ever been up to that point.

I hadn't stayed at a Marriott, Hilton, Wyndham, any timeshare or Disney
Resort Before, so I was probably more impressed then than I would be
today after having traveled a lot more. It might be hard to go back
there after spending time at the Beach Club though.

I will say that given the choice between the Renaissance Marriott on 192 that I stayed in last month and the All Star Music, I'd take the ASM. Sure the room is smaller and doesn't have a fridge and the breakfast is more expensive, but the ASM still has magic.

I didn't like how far some of the buildings are from the lobby and food
court, but you have that problem in the deluxe resorts to some extent
also."

"<>I've stayed many times at all the all-stars. For the money they are
just fine. I never spend much time in my room so I don't like
spending alot of money on the rooms. Can't pick a favorite cuz each
one has it's own flavor and character. The food courts are very good.
Nice variety of food."

"We stayed at the All Star Music on our first family trip. It was fine. The food court had plenty of economical (by Disney standards) choices. We never had any trouble w/bus service. We were by the big cowboy boot--now I know to request something closer to the bus stop. A couple of years later we stayed at the Poly and, except for the monorail to the MK, I found the transportation at ASM to be faster. And at the Poly there's only that one cafe type restaurant. Plus my daughter appreciated the theming of ASM much more than the Poly. If we ever stay at a non-DVC resort again, it'll be an All Star."

"We've stayed at the All Stars 2 times - Sports (about 6 years ago) & Movies (about 2 years ago)

At the Sports, we were given a choice of buildings to chose from & chose Baseball. We had no complaints. We got our refillable mugs.

When we went to Music, we dragged our mugs along & asked a CM at the food courts if it was ok to use them & she said "of course you may". Our room was in Herby - in the back corner of the top floor of the farthest building away from anything. OKay - we got morning exercise going for coffee & it was quiet back there

We are now DVC members & don't miss the All Stars We might stay there on weekends if there was a sale & we wanted to save points"
