"We cannot tell you how pleased we are with deciding to your service to put this trip together! And, we were so glad you sent the little tidbits of information regarding the parks, rides, etc. We found each one to right on the money and we took all your good advice as far as lines, times of day to get on certain attractions (i.e. Dumbo) and it just made the trip that much more efficient and smooth. You are what I would call a "one stop shop for an amazing Disney World experience."

Return to Question of the Week Highlights What is your favorite "moderate" resort to stay at in Disney World (Port Orleans Riverside, PO French Quarter, Coronado Springs, or Caribbean Beach)? What about this resort makes it a good place to stay for you? Are there any of the moderate resorts that you avoid staying at? Answers posted to the list: Our favorite is Riverside (nee Dixie Landings). We've stayed there something like 8 or 9 times now. We love it. Of course we've never stayed at another resort so we can't truly compare, but DL is really nice. We did stay three days at a value resort this last trip (AS Movies) which was also nice. We wouldn't spend an entire trip at a value resort, but for a night or two it was fine. Joey ----- My favorite is Port Orleans Riverside. I like how the resort is spread out among several smaller buildings, the boat ride to downtown disney, the horse drawn carriage rides at night, Boatwright's for a sit down breakfast, and I thought the bus service has been good in the times I have stayed there. I have also stayed at Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs among the moderates and they are also nice resorts with their strong points, but Riverside still is tops for me and my family. Tim ----- For us, Port Orleans (either French Quarter or Riverside) is the best. The ambience is wonderful and the dragon slide is great for the kids. Riverside had the pull out bed which was also a hit. Walking around the grounds at night is also lovely. Michele ----- Port Orleans French Quarter is my number one. It's not too big, the atmosphere is fun, the bus service is good. Number two would be Port Orleans Riverside. Atomosphere is great here as well. The only drawback was the size of the resort. I've not stayed at the CB so I do not know, but I have stayed at CS. It was okay, but not as nice as FQ or R. Too large and the bus service wasn't as good as the other two while I was there. lkw ----- We've stayed at The Carribean Beach Resort for the past 2 years and we absolutely love it there! The rooms are great, I love the walk to Old Port Royale...the beaches are very pretty. We really like the variety of foods that the food court has there and the main pool is great! Its a great hotel for the $$! Stacey ----- My DD and I love Riverside and we have stayed at all the moderates. The next one would be FQ, then CB and last CS. We just like the laid back feel of Riverside and the food court. Karen ----- Well let's see - I've stayed at all except for CS which I will stay at in Oct. for 4 days before going to WL. I like them all cuz they each have their own specialness about it. But if I HAD to pick one I think it would be POFQ. I just like the New Orleans flavor of it. Very relaxing. Pam ----- We have stayed at POFQ and Coronado Springs. Of the two, I like CS the best. We stayed in the Casitas and the Cabanas, but I liked the Casitas best. We were closer to the larger quiet pool and it was very convenient. We really liked the Maya Grill for the breakfast buffet and the Dig Site was loads of fun. Deborah ----- Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Moderate. Its just so relaxed and cozy. We like the boat service to Downtown Disney and short bus rides to the Parks Dennis ----- We have stayed at all of them. Our hands down favorite was Riverside. We like the layout (didn't feel like hotel) and loved Boatwrights. Except for AKL we liked it better than the deluxe hotels as well. CB would be next because of layout and beach. Then French Quarter and last CS-just didn't like food court or so many conventions going on when we were there. We're DVC now and OKW is a favorite because of the spread out and laid back atmosphere much like Riverside, and we still go to Boatwrights occaisonally for breakfast. John ----- We have stayed several times in the past at Riverside when it was Dixie Landings and we have always loved it! The trouble became our kids got to growing up and those little rooms just couldn't work out, or we'd need to get two side by side. Since we have been DVC at OKW for several years, we have occasionally stayed for a night or two at Riverside since, or have gone over to use their food court for lunch or quick dinner after a day of parks. We even pool-hopped once or twice over there because of the slide. We still love it there and going back in brings back lots of very nice memories! I miss it. To be very honest, I am happy to report that I would stay at any one of these moderate resorts any time - I have a very good feeling about all of them, having resort hopped on non-park days in the past. Kathy ----- We've stayed at the Port Orleans once - before it joined up with Dixie Landings - Riverside now? We liked it there. We had a great room - on a corner - down by the canal. It was quite relaxing. We liked that Port Orleans was small (for WDW) not a long walk to the main building or pool. Brenda ----- I liked the Caribbean Beach resort better than the Port Orleans. The Caribbean Beach seemed more "laid back"....more "cartooney". Port Orleans was ok, just seemed like it was meant more for adults or adults with older kids. But we still had a ball staying at both of these resorts. Willie Return to Question of the Week Highlights
