Snapshot Story: Joan’s Norwegian Fjords cruise – “It truly was the trip of a lifetime”

Thanks to our client Joan from Missouri for sharing these photos and her thoughts on her family’s Disney Magic Norwegian Fjords cruise in the summer of 2019.  Joan writes:

“Our Norway Fjords cruise has exhausted my list of superlatives! This was beyond a doubt the best trip we have ever taken. The magnificent sheer cliffs against the sparkling calm water, the breathtaking mountain peak views, countless majestic waterfalls, the glaciers and snow fields even in late August, contrasted with the brilliant green fields, hills dotted with sheep, moss covered boulders, grass-covered barns, quaint seaside villages, white church peaks….every turn brought a more memorable view. I had been slightly nervous about crossing the North Sea, but our sailing was so smooth we barely felt any motion–we have had rougher seas crossing the boundary waters out of Florida. The fact that we sailed out of Dover, England also gave us a chance to experience the historic palaces, exciting theatre scene and Afternoon Teas of London. And of course, the “pixie dust”and whimsy that only Disney can provide in ambiance, service, and characters was truly magical. There is nothing like standing on the top deck watching the movie Frozen with the on-screen mountains framed by the real thing!! We are considering our next cruise destinations in Northern Europe, but the enchantment of those fjords may be hard to resist. Thanks again for recommending this itinerary. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.”
