Back in January we did our first interview with Disney Vacation Club (DVC) expert and DVC resale broker Shontell Crawford. That interview proved to be popular with our readers so we are going to make this a regular feature – checking in from time to time with Shontell on the latest about DVC. Recently we shared a review of our fun week at C-Lazy-U Guest Ranch near Granby, Colorado. We are not the only ones to discover this alternative type of family vacation. Our client Elizabeth from Pennsylvania recently contributed her review of White Stallion Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. “I will never forget the thrill of seeing the desert for the first time and the joy I felt as I watched the rest of my family ahead of me on their horses,” writes Elizabeth. “I remember calling out to my husband saying, ‘ It doesn’t get any better than this!'”

One interesting part of being a travel agent is that you learn about places and events you were not aware of previously. I recently had this experience when I interviewed Shannon Stitt of Collette Vacations for our website. Shannon told me about the Oberammergau Passion Play. “(This event) is truly once in a lifetime event,” said Shannon. “The play performance dates back to 1634. During the Thirty year War, the village of Oberammergau was spared the black plaque and for this reason, the villagers vowed that every ten years they would give a play to honor the live of Christ. The Performers are native Oberammergauers.”

I recently posted a video slideshow I made of our CLazyU Ranch vacation (see the slideshow here ). We took over 700 pictures and videos on our CLazyU trip and condensed those down to a few for this 10 minute video.

Yee haw! For our 2009 summer vacation the Larison family stayed in their home state of Colorado for a fun week long adventure at the C-Lazy-U Guest Ranch near Granby. We experienced horseback riding, camping, and many other activities in our time at C-Lazy-U all backed with the Ranch’s friendly Western Hospitality.

“Our favorite restaurant on any cruise ship is Palo on the Disney Cruise. We were one of the fortunate 100 passengers (out of 2700) to eat brunch at Palo on our October 2008 cruise. Here is our waiter Zoron from Bosnia describing to us the many food choices available. I loved the shrimp, Margaretta Pizza, my main entrée Chicken Parmesan, and other delicacies. There was so much food to choose from!”
