Thanks to our client Leah from California on sharing her family of 3’s experience on a Disney Alaska cruise.
Our family bought into the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) in the mid-90’s and we immediately reaped the benefits – visiting Disney World multiple times a year with our DVC points when our sons were young. One purchase option that many don’t know about – instead of buying direct from Disney you can buy a DVC resale! The best DVC resale expert and broker we know is Shontell Crawford from DVCbyResale.com. We recently talked with Shontell to get the latest on DVC and the DVC resale market.
10 Things I like at Disneyland not at Disney World (November 2015)

Disneyland is celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2015! Watch this short video on this special year at the resort:
We enjoyed this video from Disney recently:
Are you a grandparent wanting to treat your grand kids to a Disney vacation? We can help! We’ve worked with many extended families on Disney trips (Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise, and Adventures by Disney) Contact us for more information.
We came across this amusing video today from Disney featuring Darth Vader at Disneyland. Disney owns the Star Wars franchise (just announced this week). We are big Star Wars fans, and we look forward to what the creative minds at Disney can do with the series when a new Star Wars film comes out in 2015!
Disneyland’s California Adventure Theme Park a new ‘land’ recently opened to the public – Cars Land on June 15, 2012. Family Travel Gurus co-owner Anne Larison was fortunate to visit Cars Land the day before it opened to the public. “Fans of the Disney movie Cars will be thrilled with the theme of the rides, restaurants and merchandise options,” said Anne. “I had a blast and can’t wait to take my family to California to see for themselves.”
Thanks to our client Teresa from Missouri for sharing this trip report of her and her husband’s 7 night Disney Wonder Alaska cruise in June 2012.
We’re back from an extended cruise vacation and it is time to start blogging again! Here’s a video from Disney today showing the real Disney Dream (not a model or simulation) – the final “block” of the ship was put in place today. We can’t wait to sail on the Dream in January! (we’ll have a full report on our familytravelgurus website in February)
